In the basement of the complex you can find the communal bicycle shed.SURROUNDINGS AND ACCESSIBILITYThe apartment is located in the Baarjes on the well-maintained Admiralengracht with jetties and lots of greenery. The residents have placed a picnic bench on the canal which is used a lot. In the summer, people swim in the canal and barbecue in the grass. You could easily moor a boat at the jetty and sail into the city centre. In the Baarsjes there are many nice shops such as Fort Negen and Faam and various supermarkets including an Albert Heijn on the Jan Evertsenstraat. The Erasmuspark and the Rembrandtpark are nearby as well as many nice cafes and restaurants such as Bar Baarsch, de Neef van Fred, Restaurant Daalder, Café Goldmund, Benji’s, Buurman de With, Kien and Sham. The cozy Jordaan is a 7-minute bike ride away and the Hallen with cinema is a 5-minute bike ride away. Many good primary schools (including St. Janschool and Montesorri de Meidoorn) and nice playgrounds are within walking distance of the apartment, such as the Balboaplein, Columbusplein and Natuurspeeltuin plan west. The front door is in a car-free street, very child-friendly. Public transport is very good with various trams and a bus stop on, among others, the Jan Evertsenstraat.
