€1.100 / month
The room is approximately 16m2, and the apartment is 90m2, with a balcony. The apartment has a nice layout, the rooms do not share a wall – there is a bathroom, technical room and toilet between them. It is on the 5th Floor of a building built in the 90s, so not completely new but not old either. The apartment is an 8-minute walk from Amsterdam Lelylaan train station, which is well connected – 7 min to the airport, 12 min to Centraal, 7 minutes to Zuid station. There are two metro lines, two trams, several buses and a train. About me: Man, 37, working in procurement in an IT company. I love travelling, good coffee, cooking, exploring restaurants, going to the gym, and spending time with my friends (who are mainly expats). I like the apartment to be clean, but not expecting things to be perfect. I don’t throw regular parties, but I would say that probably once every month or two, I have friends over. The registration is perfectly possible, the cost for the rent is 1100 EUR, and utilities are approximately an extra 160 EUR per person. The utilities might seem high, but it includes all costs- gas and electricity (70 eur), internet and TV (27 eur), drinking water (11 eur), insurance (11 eur), water tax (240 eur per year) and waste collection tax (240 eur per year). I calculate the utilities once a year and reimburse anything that was overpaid. I also always renegotiate contracts at the end of the term. The deposit is one month's rent (1100 EUR).
